Technical Diving

The courses in the PSS Technical division belong to the branch of diving generally referred to as “technical”. This term should be intended as diving activities carried out, for enjoyment, beyond the limits established for recreational diving. However, within the field of hyperbaric medicine, the term Technica is used to define any dive during which a change of breathing gas is made. However, the PSS organization feels this definition to be too broad while, at the same time, too restrictive. Therefore, the PSS organization considers any type of dive (within or exceeding the maximum no-deco dive times) made beyond the limits of recreational diving gas “technical” diving. Obviously, technical diving also has established limits that must be respected, particularly during training activities. These limits are given below so that all divers are aware of them.

Decompression techniques: Entry requirements

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Entry requirement: Deep Diver certification or equivalent, Scuba Rescue Diver certification or equivalent.
  • First Aid and CPR qualification or equivalent and Oxygen in Diving Emergency qualification or equivalent
  • Duration: 4 days
  • Theory Modules: 6 / e-learning and a theory exam.
  • Open water dives: 4
  • Techniques: 18
  • Langueges: English, German, Dutch, Slovenian, Croatian

ACCELERATED DECOMPRESSION:  Entry requirements

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Entry requirement: Decompression Techniques certification or equivalent, Nitrox Diver certification or equivalent.
  • First Aid and CPR qualification or equivalent and Oxygen in Diving Emergency qualification or equivalent
  • Duration: 3 days
  • Theory Modules: 7 / e-learning and a theory exam.
  • Open water dives: 3
  • Techniques: 8
  • Langueges: English, German, Dutch, Slovenian, Croatian

Trimix 60:  Entry requirements

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Entry requirement: Accelerated Decompression certification or equivalent,
  • First Aid and CPR qualification or equivalent and Oxygen in Diving Emergency qualification or equivalent
  • Duration: 5 days
  • Theory Modules: 7 / e-learning and a theory exam.
  • Open water dives: 4
  • Techniques: 8
  • Langueges: English, German, Dutch, Slovenian, Croatian

What you need:

You need to make a reservation up to 3 days in advance. If you still want to dive last minute, you can always call.

A medical certificate must be completed prior to the dive. All questions must be answered with NO. If this is not the case, then it is advisable to contact us. A visit to the general practitioner may then be necessary. The medical Statement can be found below.
