Diving center and club cleaned 20 cubic meters of waste from the seabed while cleaning the seabed along the waterfront in Biograd na Moru. Namely, they pulled the truck and car tires from the sea, the remains of fences and tables from terraces, metal structures, batteries, engine parts, old nets and ropes, and numerous glass and plastic bottles, plates, plastic bags, and various other small waste.
“I am proud and happy that many of my colleagues applied for participation in the new cleaning action this year as well because they recognize the value of our joint project. Due to epidemiological measures, the number of participants is limited, but all of us who came to Biograd na Moru did our best to take another step closer to nature. Removal of waste from the depths of the sea, of course, would not be possible without the divers, to whom I sincerely thank.
Namely, after the end of the action, the area near the Biograd ferry port was flooded with a huge amount of spilled waste, which was then disposed of by the city utility company Bošana. The action was also supported by the Zadar County Port Authority, as divers and employees cleaned the seabed near the port in Biograd na Moru.
