The Velvet uses a diagonal front zip that starts at the waist and finishes at the shoulder. Not only does that make the suit easy to get into without help, it also keeps you warmer. Because, unlike many front-zip suits that create a cold spot at the front of the neck, the diagonal zip keeps the neck seal unbroken across the front, helping reduce flushing and improving thermal performance. Hydrosealing cuffs at the wrists and ankles add another barrier against water entry.
